By invitation, I attended the Youth Connekt Africa Summit at the Kenya International Conference Center (KICC) in Nairobi, Kenya, yesterday Dec 11.
The summit, which started on Dec 8, drew thousands of young people from across Africa and revolved around strategies towards a borderless Africa driven by innovation, inclusivity, unity and oneness of thought.
Entrepreneurship and innovation in today’s digital era, climate change, mental health and various other topical issues of importance punctuated the occasion.
I was so glad to see the vigour and clarity of thought with which Africa is rising, led by it’s vibrant and innovative populace of young people.
The summit’s curtains were brought down by Kenya’s Vice President, Rigathi Gachagua, who called upon the African youth to stay vibrant and innovative in leading the way to a borderless continent where Africans travel, market and sell products without restrictions.
