What an amazing day! I graduated from an elite and very intense leadership course called Heartcore Leadership last week and today, as a graduation gift, my picture appeared on a digital billboard in Time Square! I feel IMPORTANT! I feel CELEBRATED!
This way of celebrating feels magical to me. I say this because, as you all know, I am Cuban and grew up in suburban New York. Family and friends from out of town would visit all the time and they all would request only one thing, to be taken on a tour of New York City with Time Square being the first stop. I am imagining family and friends smiling and celebrating with me as they see my picture highlighted in the digital billboards of Time Square. I feel blessed and grateful to have had this opportunity to learn and grow my leadership skills.
I learned a great deal about myself and what is required of true leaders while taking the Heartcore Leadership course. One of the things I learned is that it is important to celebrate our wins. During the past three months, I have accomplished more than I have in many years. I learned the importance of investing in my personal development, of having a business coach and setting outrageous yet totally doable goals. I also learned that life begins outside the comfort zone! This course pushed me so far outside my comfort zone that I am tempted to write a new children’s book called “STRETCHY NESS” focused on the importance of trying new things and leaning into discomfort to achieve successful breakthroughs.
Leaders are constantly learning and trying new things. Innovators take risks. I am so grateful for the opportunity this course gave me to challenge myself to achieve my goals. I am thankful for the journey, the coaches and the outstanding results the course provided.
